Help us with your ideas for a playground in Eaux Claires. We are excited about our upcoming plans, working with the City of Edmonton, to build a playground in the Eaux Claires neighbourhood. WE NEED YOUR HELP! We would like to receive 150 completed surveys on what our Community League Members want in a playground.

Poplar District Park Grand Opening - June 20-09
Poplar District Park is finally officiall open. It all happened at the Giant Community Soccer Party held on June 20, 2009 at the new district park in Belle Rive. The party was a huge success with people coming from all seven Area 17 communities: Evansdale, Lago Lindo, Northmount, Kilkenny, Londonderry, Steele Heights and McLeod. Giant Community Soccer Party
Giant Community Soccer Party June 19 & 20
Poplar District Park in Belle Rive- 164 Ave & 84 Street
Several thousand people attened the giant community soccer party and Poplar Park opening events on June 19 and 20, 2009.
The event featured entertainment both nights: a DJ hosted Rock Band extravaganza in the kids tent and Don Johnson of Rose and Crown fame in the adult-family tent until 11 pm both nights! The was kids-parent soccer games, face painters, jumpy arenas, handing waxing, face airbrushing, all on a wonderful great weekend.

Evansdale Community Party 2008 - A Big Success
The event was a smashing success in the sun on June 21, 2008. Check out our huge online slide show from the 2008 Evansdale Community Party. 2008 Evansdale Community Party Slide Show. If you missed it, Kimberley Fung was the big winner of the mountain bike this year. The day was hot, sunny and enjoyable. Some teams enjoyed re-matches with their favorite Evansdale rivals in our fun, in-house soccer tourney. The family dance went until 10 pm.
Mark your calendar for next year, the 5th Annual Evansdale Community Party will be on June 20, 2009.
